This week the iPhone application for Época magazine was launched, project developed by Gonow Tecnologia. With this app it is possible to access updated information from Época website, in categories as science, Brazil, world, latest news and others. Developed in Objective-C language and SDK Framework for iPhone, one of the challenges in the project was to implement an interface different from the platform pattern. “The platform offers several ready-to-use visual components – such as lists, bottoms – but at this time we made some components from scratch, such as tabs, categories in “carousel” and top stories”, Jonas Alves explains, an application developer.

Other applications will be soon launched

The experience of application navigations for Editora Globo developed by Gonow Tecnologia respect the consistence and convention of each platform: last week we announced the Android version, now the iPhone version was also launched. “The client asked for a more modern and attractive version. Thus, we developed applications that praise for simplicity and intuitive navigation. In the Epoca Mobile for Android and iOS as well as in the QG application for Android, in the same way: vertically, the user navigates in chronological order and, sliding down he navigates through the magazine editorials”, Emerson Niides affirms, responsible for the information architecture of the application.
